Validation Strategy:

PSV – Functional Validation Services

Future-proofing silicon through rigorous validation

Functional Validation

  • Scope to validate all functionalities of system like PM & Reset, IO interfaces, Memory, Multimedia, Connectivity, PCIE, IPU, PnP, RAS, FV Security, Thermal Validation, etc.
  • Advanced level debugging using tools JTAG/ITP and validation with common bus interfaces(I2C, SPI, SMBUS, etc).
  • Scope to validate the BIOS, IFWI, and driver testing on PSV.

PnP Measurement

  • To measure the power consumption of each module and complete the setup on PSV.
  • Verify and validate the performance of the system in PSV with different combinations of loads to the systems and configurations.

Automation Testing

  • Write the script to automate the manual test cases to automation in PSV.
  • Validate the Manual test cases with different Automation frameworks and find bugs if any.
  • Modify the failed script after re-run the TCs and share the results.

PSV Lab Management

  • Bring up the test systems with all required HWs for different configurations.
  • Find and rectify the HW level failures in post-silicon validation.

  • Strong validation and debug knowledge of both Intel and ARM architecture.
  • Good knowledge and depth of understanding of server, Desktop & Mobile architecture.
  • Strong knowledge the validating the different Silicon and SOC architecture.
  • Good validation knowledge of both high-speed & low-speed protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIE, etc.
  • Have knowledge of IP validation & driver testing activity on embedded products.
  • Strong knowledge of power measurements using DAQ systems and knowledge of Benchmark tools like 3DMark, SysMark, Geekbench5, etc.
  • Able to understand the board schematics and depth debug knowledge through JTAG interfaces.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++ language.
  • Good to have exposure to handling lab equipment like Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, DMM, Lauterbach, Logic Analyzer, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of debugging including ITP, JTAG Tools, ITH, and VISA.
  • Strong knowledge of working on both Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of writing scripts to convert manual test case scenarios to automation validation.
