Position:Senior Automotive Application Engineer 

Experience:8+ years 

Location:Bangalore

Technical Skillset Required: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for analyze project specifications and functional requirements. Contribute to develop features/modules of infotainment system include but not limited in: EV pages, other IVI applications. 

  • Develop detailed design documents of functional modules for infotainment. Participate in architecture, requirements, and design, coding and test case reviews. 

  • Identify the changes of requirement and have corresponding actions to exiting implementation. 

  • Collaborate with other team members in software development activities using the Scrum/Agile development process. 

  • Recommend improvements to development processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of development teams and reduce technical debt. 

  • Senior member resumes ownership of each project, propose technical solutions, make design and implementation decisions and coach junior members. 

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of software development experience in automotive sector. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or engineering related field. 

  • Good C++ programming and debugging skills and at least 5 years of experience in C++ development With C++11/14. 

  • Experienced in Linux/QNX or any other Real Time Operating System. Experience in ASPICE/CMMI is required. 

  • Knowledge of different software validation strategies. 

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and AUTOSAR Adaptive. 

  • Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols(CAN, Automotive Ethernet). 

  • Strong trouble shooting, root-cause analyzing, and problem-solving skills. Good understanding with software engineering principles, development lifecycle, and design frameworks. 

  • Strong testing knowledge (functional/non-functional testing, unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and defect lifecycle). 

  • Familiar with requirement management, revision control, and issue-tracking tools like JIRA/GIT/ BUGZILL/SVN etc. 

  • Strong communication skills and Good English skills (writing, documenting, conversation). 

  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed environment. 

  • Experience in Agile team environment, tools and techniques. 

  • Experience working in continuous delivery (CICD) environment is preferred. Able to mentor new hires and fresh graduates and able to lead small technical team. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience in Android framework and HAL development will be a plus. 

  • Knowledge of Automotive Backend Structures and Backend Communication is a plus. 

  • Successful Track record in applying advanced technology to enhance the usability of complex systems is a plus.
