Position:Senior Devops Engineer 

Experience:5-8 years

Job Summary: 

  • You will be the owner of all Build, Packaging, Configuration management and Automation (DevOps). 

  • This involves both being hands on and leading the Build, Packaging and Automation (DevOps) efforts. Your work will enable S3 Software and/or QA to improve their processes through developing new automation features (Build, Test management, Configuration management etc.), or by helping debug or co-create their automated test content. 

THE PERSON: 

  • Senior DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. 

  • Excellent communicator, interpersonal skills, team player and leader. 

  • Self-driven, enjoys new challenges and quickly adapts to change in a fast-moving environment. 

  • Interested in improving processes and solutions by challenging the status quo and providing out of the box solutions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead design, develop and support of in-house automation and tool solutions that can scale across programs and platforms. 

  • Source code management, setting-up cross-scm mirrors. 

  • Engage with customers and key stakeholders like Program managers, QA leads, Customers etc. to derive high level strategy for CI/CD. 

  • Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to Packaging and Automation 

  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure 

  • Managing stakeholders and external interfaces. 

  • Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work. 

  • Develop technical relationships with peers and partners. 

KEY SKILLS: 

  • Jenkins (pipelines, freestyle and multi configuration jobs) 

  • Github Actions. 

  • Shell Script 

  • Python 

  • Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) 

  • Perforce, Git and Gerrit. 

  • Artifactory 

  • Moderate Level 

  • SAST 

  • Networking in Linux 

  • Setting up and maintaining robust Automation Infrastructure 

  • Jfrogartifactory. 

  • Azure DevOps. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Hands on with Opensource upstream process. 

  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL 

  • Setting up tools and required infrastructure for x86, ARM, RISC V etc. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in setting-up of DevOps pipelines from scratch. 

  • Experience with source controls systems like GitHub, Gerrit and Perforce. 

  • Experience in working with Azure DevOps. 

  • Has a working knowledge of Dockers/K8s. 

  • Experienced with creating modular and maintainable code adhering to best practices. 

  • Software and hardware test + debug experience 

  • Experience with flask, javascript, web development, REST and mysql database is an asset. 

  • Experience in data analytics and report generation is an asset. 

  • Good understanding of Computer Architecture. 

  • Good understanding of FW/Drivers building, packaging and signing. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
