Presentation Guidelines for Speakers

Here are the guidelines for your presentation:

Content Focus:

  • Presentations should focus on the solutions implemented to address specific challenges, detailing the implementation process and the resulting impact. While acknowledging the initial challenge is important for context, the primary emphasis should be on the how and the what of the solution, not just the why of the problem.

Slide Management & Timing:

  • The number of slides is not fixed. The key is to manage your time effectively. The time spent per slide will depend on the amount of content.
  • We strongly recommend internal trial runs to ensure your presentation fits within the allotted time. This will help you pace yourself and identify areas for adjustment.
  • You will be stopped if you exceed the allotted time. Please be mindful of this during your preparation and delivery.

Marketing:

  • Presentations should be limited to 1 marketing slide at the end of the presentation only. Slides will be reviewed and approved with this in mind.

Q&A:

  • Dedicated Q&A Time: The speaker must reserve time from their allocation if they would like Q&A at the end of the presentation. Alternatively they can take questions as they go. It is good practise to always repeat the question for benefit of the audience (in case the questioner was not audible).
